Alexander Brothers Each Sentenced to 30 Years in Federal Sex Trafficking Case
A Manhattan federal judge called the former luxury real estate brokers' conduct 'monstrous.' Prosecutors said the three drugged and assaulted women over more than a decade; each brother denied the charges in court.

A federal judge in Manhattan on Tuesday sentenced Alon, Oren and Tal Alexander to 30 years in prison each for sex trafficking, after a jury in March convicted the three brothers on all 10 counts against them, CBS News and the Associated Press reported. U.S. District Judge Valerie Caproni also imposed 10 years of supervised release.
Prosecutors had accused Alon and Oren Alexander, both 39, and Tal Alexander, 40, of using their wealth, power and social status to lure, drug and sexually assault women, including, prosecutors alleged, two teenagers, CBS reported. The charges included conspiracy to commit sex trafficking and multiple counts of sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion. In a court filing, prosecutors said the brothers raped or sexually assaulted at least 70 women in a pattern that began as early as 2001 or 2002.
Caproni described the brothers' conduct as "monstrous," according to CBS. "The witnesses credibly described sadistic, misogynistic sexual predators," she said, adding that the evidence was "overwhelming that they administered drugs surreptitiously." Prosecutors and several women asked for maximum sentences; defense lawyers asked for the minimum of 15 years. The hearing lasted about six hours.
Several women gave victim impact statements in the courtroom. Boston Uncut is not naming them. One woman, who used a pseudonym, said she was 16 when she was assaulted and that "the reverberations of this have lasted half my life," CBS reported. Another said, "We are not disposable. And they are not untouchable."
"Today's sentence makes clear that this craven, sinister conduct is extraordinarily serious and will be met with serious punishment," U.S. Attorney Jamie McDonald said in a statement, according to CBS.
Each brother denied the allegations in court. "My brothers and I have never drugged and raped anyone or conspired to harm," Oren Alexander said, adding that he was "ashamed of how I behaved." Alon Alexander said, "I'm not a perfect man, but I'm innocent of these charges. I've never raped or trafficked anyone." During the trial, their lawyers argued that the encounters were consensual. Caproni said she did "not have the adequate expertise to conclude they should not be incarcerated together," CBS reported.
Before their December 2024 arrests, Alon and Oren Alexander were known as luxury real estate brokers in New York, Los Angeles and Miami, and Tal Alexander held an executive role at the family's private security firm, CBS reported. The brothers lived in Miami.
What remains unknown: whether the brothers will appeal their convictions or sentences, and whether any related civil cases will proceed now that sentencing is complete.
