The Bruins host the Vegas Golden Knights at TD Garden tonight at 7, the first of two meetings this season, with Boston first in the Atlantic Division at 10-4-1 and Vegas second in the Pacific at 9-5-1.

Here's what the two teams' own numbers say going in.

The Bruins are 9-0-0 when they score three or more goals, according to ESPN's preview data. Over their last 10 games they are 7-2-1, averaging four goals and allowing 2.4 a game. No Bruins are listed on the injury report.

Pastrnak leads the team with 19 points (8 goals, 11 assists), followed by Elias Lindholm with 12, and James Hagens and JJ Peterka with 11 each, according to Vegas's pregame report. Michael DiPietro (.929) and Jeremy Swayman (.912) both rank among league leaders in save percentage. Swayman's status as tonight's starter had not been announced at publication.

The Golden Knights open a four-game East Coast trip tonight after a 5-2 loss to New Jersey on Friday. Jack Eichel leads them with 20 points, Mark Stone has 17 (9 goals) and is five points from becoming the franchise's all-time scoring leader, and Mitch Marner has a nine-game point streak, tied for second in the league, per VegasGoldenKnights.com.

Vegas is tied for second in the NHL with 17 first-period goals. Over its last 10, Vegas is 5-4-1, averaging 3.2 goals and allowing 2.9. The Golden Knights are without defenseman Parker Wotherspoon (upper body), Victor Olofsson and Kai Uchacz.

The teams split last season: Vegas won 6-5 at home on Oct. 16, 2025, and Boston won 4-3 at the Garden on Jan. 22. Vegas's all-time record against Boston is 7-8-1, and a win tonight would even it, according to the Golden Knights. Eichel, from North Chelmsford, had a goal and an assist in his last game at the Garden.

First periods. Boston was outshot 28-13 through two periods against Chicago on Saturday and needed a late rally. Vegas starts fast. If the Bruins chase again tonight, that's a different problem than chasing the Blackhawks.

Second, the Bruins' power play against a Vegas team that has given up big nights recently, including six goals in losses to Tampa Bay and St. Louis in October, according to the team's own game recaps.

Third, Pastrnak, who has six goals and seven assists in his last 10 games.

Puck drop is 7 p.m. at TD Garden. NHL Network carries it nationally, and the game airs locally on NESN. Bergeron's Hockey Hall of Fame induction is next week, as Pastrnak noted after Saturday's win.
