UN Food Agency Cuts Gaza Assistance by About One-Third
The World Food Programme says funding shortages leave half a million people without aid as winter approaches.

The UN World Food Programme said funding shortages have forced it to cut food assistance in the Gaza Strip by about one-third, Anadolu Agency reported. The agency said it now assists 1.1 million people in Gaza, down from 1.6 million last month, and that rations have been halved.
Families receiving aid will get one food parcel instead of two, along with a smaller bag of wheat flour, according to the statement. Daily hot meals fell from 250,000 to 150,000, and families in hard-to-reach areas, including near the Israeli army-controlled "yellow line," will receive meals every other day instead of daily.
