Boston's Own The Real Dnation Refuses to Fold on "Beat the Odds"
The Dorchester artist's new video is built for the club and for anybody fighting through a hard stretch.

Some records are built for the club. Some are built for anybody fighting through a hard stretch. The Real Dnation's "Beat the Odds" does both, and the new video gives Boston one more reason to pay attention.
Dorchester's Own
The Real Dnation comes out of Dorchester. New England Mic Check made him its Spotlight Artist in June 2025, writing that he blends "raw hip-hop with soulful singing" and that his lyrics "tell the real stories of city life." He's put in work on stages too, including college campuses.

The catalog runs deep. He opened with the singles "Honest" and "More" in 2022, then dropped the project Underestimated Vol 1 in 2023 alongside "Drowning" and "I Miss You." In 2024 came "Just To Make You Proud" and "You Deserve Better." In 2025 he kept the pressure on with "I Won," "So Pathetic," "Beat the Odds" and "Pretty Dreams" featuring EXITFAME. This year he's already added "Demon Time" and "A STAR," which features Toasta Ivision and Staurus.
The Record
"Beat the Odds" features Toasta iVision. The single dropped July 11, 2025, and the official video hit YouTube on October 16, 2026. In the video's description, Dnation calls it a song "dedicated to motivate people to beat obstacles and keep fighting for whatever you may believe in until it becomes your reality." Clipz Films shot the video, and Makers of Royalty Ent. brought it to the screen.

His Spotify bio describes the single as hitting "with Jamaican flavor & feel-good confidence" over "Afrobeat bounce, Hip Hop heat & real-life soul," made for "the club, afterparties, or anyone grinding through their struggle." The bio sums it up in one line: "This is music for the ones who refuse to fold. #WeWillOvercome."
