English High Won the Game and Lost to a Spreadsheet?
A 12-6 league title doesn't count because nobody typed it into Arbiter Live by Sept. 18.

English beat O'Bryant 12-6 on Oct. 30 for its first league title since 2021. The MIAA says the game doesn't exist, because it wasn't entered in the scheduling system by Sept. 18. Rule 34.6. Without it, English has six games; you need seven for the playoffs.
The seniors went winless as freshmen. Then three wins, four, and five this year. Coach Ryan Conway says the kids cried silently when he told them.
Here's my question: the game happened. Refs, scoreboard, fans. The MIAA knew about it the day before kickoff. And the fix is still no?
The City Council asked the MIAA to let it go. Good. Somebody at BPS also owes these kids an explanation of who missed the entry.
What we still don't know: whether the MIAA will budge, and who was responsible for the entry.
